Ways to Impress Your Wedding Guests

Posted on: 02/11/2022

Your wedding day is exactly that - yours! It should represent you and your partner's unique traits and tastes. So whether you are looking for a more traditional wedding, or completely out of this world eccentric, adding personal touches or spicing things up is the best way to wow your guests for a day they (and you!) will remember forever. Below are a few ideas that are sure to make an unforgettable celebration.

Walk Out with a Lit Bang

Light up your reception exit with a celebratory firework display! Or, for a more budget friendly celebration, hand out sparklers and champagne for your guests to hold as they escort you to your getaway car when the night is over. (Don't forget to make sure your venue allows for fireworks and sparklers!)

To-Go Recovery

Your party guests will appreciate an emergency kit for the morning after. Include all the hangover essentials (Ibuprofen, water, energy bars) to get them back on their feet after a night of celebrating with you. Plus, everyone loves a party favor!

Set Up Fancy Lounge Areas

Give your wedding guests a place to mingle between dance breaks by creating a lounge area with comfy couches, chairs and plenty of pillows. It's the perfect way to keep everyone feeling like they are still at the party even if they're off the dance floor. It also makes for great photos!

Interactive Games for the Whole Family

Keep your guests (especially tiny ones) entertained at your reception with fun and interactive games. Set up a game of cornhole at your outdoor ceremony or reserve one of your reception tables as a coloring station.

Ditch the Guest “Book”

Instead of having your guests sign a wedding book, consider using something that represents you and your partner. For example, if you guys love a good game night, have your guests sign Jenga pieces so every time you play you are reminded of your special day. Big into photography? Provide guests with a Polaroid camera and ask them to each take a photo of themselves and write a note on the back!

Photo Booths

Having a photo booth is a surefire way to capture those silly, candid memories your professional photographer might miss. Outfit your booth with themed props like a classy garden backdrop with lots of greenery or costume pieces for all your movie lovers.

Personalized Satellite Bar

Offer your guests a celebratory surprise with a cigar rolling station during cocktail hour. If cigars aren't your thing, any creative, personal satellite bar idea works too, like a make-your-own specialty margarita station or a rum tasting bar.

Express Your Love for Animals

Are you a big animal lover? Incorporate your fur babies by letting them walk down the aisle with you! Or show your support for the local animal shelter by having pets who need homes up for adoption at your reception. This is a great way to spread all the love you’ll be receiving to those who need it!
