Fun & Unique Wedding Reception Entrances

Walking into the room as a married couple for the first time requires a grand entrance! And by grand, we mean an entrance that represents you and your forever partner. While some newly weds want fireworks and a flash mob, some may prefer an entrance that is low key and intimate. We’ve put together some of our favorite reception entrance ideas below to help you wow your guests.

Light Tunnels

If there are any Star Wars fans out there, this one's for you. Add a theme to your wedding by gifting lightsabers and creating your own tunnel of light with your guests' help!  If lightsabers don't fit your vibe, create a charming light tunnel with sparklers, paper lanterns or flashlights. Enlist the wedding party to help put this together for you.

Confetti Shower’s

Confetti is easy to acquire and it's always fun to make a little mess. Pro tip- use your wedding colors or try creating your own using recycled paper or eco-friendly tissue paper. Better for the planet and easy on the wallet!

Go Glamorous

For something that's memorable and showstopping, turn your grand entrance into a glamorous spectacle. Enter from behind a shimmering curtain to your favorite song and use a spotlight to up the wow factor.

Welcome Toast

Break the ice and announce yourself with a champagne toast to kick off the party! This is a great way to give a short welcome and thank all your guests for coming. Plus, you can give a few shoutouts to all of those that helped make your wedding day perfect.

Go Big with Fireworks

If you're planning an outdoor wedding, enter your reception underneath fireworks. If your budget allows, don’t save the lightshow for the end. Walk through sparkles with your new companion with your guests in awe.

Flash Mob!

We love this idea for the whole wedding party! Que a fun song and surprise your guests as all of you dance in. You could invite everyone to join you on the dance floor once you’ve entered.

Choreograph a Dance

Speaking of dancing, if you’re looking for a spotlight, get your wedding party together to plan a dance for the crowd! You’ll leave them impressed and ready to dance the night away with you.

Irish Entrance

If you are familiar with the old irish exit (slipping out of a party without a word), this might be your favorite idea. For our low key newlyweds, it is absolutely okay to quietly join cocktail hour for some one-on-one time with your nearest and dearest guests. Your wedding day might be one of the fastest days of your life, so you can take advantage of this time to enjoy visiting with all of your guests.
